Ray Tracer

Based on the curse "Rendering Algorithm" at university of Bern this ray tracer was written as an excersice. It implements some basic approaches:

  • Path Tracing
  • Bidirection Path Tracing
  • Different BRDF (Diffuse, Mirror, Glossy, Phong)
  • Texturemap, Normalmap, Specularmap, Environmentmap
  • Transparent objects (Slick's apporximation, Beer's low)
  • Maya GE2 Importer
  • Kd-Tree acceleration
  • Supersampling
  • Progressive Photomapping

Todo (Missing importants):

  • Torrance-Sparrow (& diffuse) for adv. specular materials
